Allison and Jamie discuss how Congress is undermining the U.S. Postal Service, the New York Times publishing a powerful letter from a Guantanamo prisoner that indicts President Obama on his role in keeping Gitmo openpoverty in America, the NYPD still being awful, two-tier justice in the U.S., and some early reports on the Boston explosions.

Hundreds protest the National Defense Authorization Act in NYC, the CIA is operating a drone base in Saudi Arabia, the post office cuts mail delivery on Saturdays (even though they’re really not broke), women are often victims of gun violence but the media doesn’t really focus on that, how not to be creepy talking to women, a patent troll tries to sue podcasts, claiming he invented podcasting technology.

Speaking of blogging, I have an exciting announcement I’ll be making soon that has to do with where you’ll be able to read my preachy liberal rants in the future. Check back here for the update.

with 3 comments

Listen to the new episode of Citizen Radio and subscribe to the free podcast.

Chuck Zlatkin, political director of the NY Metro Area Postal Union, explains the post office is not broke, but it is the target of the GOP and moderate Democrats. Also, it’s going to cost you $25 to see your loved ones in prison if you live in Arizona, and the media ignores mass starvation in Africa.
