Animal rights activist and FBI-hunted Peter Young

Listen to the new Citizen Radio and subscribe to the free podcast.

Interview with Peter Young (@PeterDYoung), an animal rights activist who previously worked with the Animal Liberation Front. Peter was indicted by a federal grand jury in 1998 on charges related to fur farm raids in Iowa, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. He then went into hiding for seven years before being arrested in San Jose and sentenced to two years in prison in 2005.

Before that, he was targeted by FBI agent provocateurs, and had his home raided by agents. He talks about the need for direct action, tells activists not to be afraid of the dreaded “terrorist” label, and explains why he is straight edge.

Check out his website: http://www.voiceofthevoiceless.org, and his many awesome books and DVDs: http://www.voiceofthevoiceless.org/store.

Also, Jamie and Allison talk about Israel and the second flotilla.

Jamie will be at the Steve Allen theatre July 18! Get tix here.
